Names people use, and the real bodies
A map from everyday language to agencies that actually exist. This site is not one of them.
People borrow words from TV and from other countries. The table is so you can find the real door. It is not a form. Do not send this site a name, address, school, or file number.

| “CPS” / child protection | NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) — child protection and some out-of-home care. Not a federal “CPS” brand, and not this website. |
| “Ministry of Youth” | There is no federal Ministry of Youth that this site can file a case with. Youth policy sits across health, education, social services, and state departments. Wanting a better system is allowed; this page cannot invent a ministry or sue one into being. |
| NDIS / “the NDIS office” | NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) runs the NDIS. Some decisions can be reviewed internally, then at the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART). NDIS is disability support, not guardianship. |
| “Kids’ court” | Children’s Court of NSW — care and protection matters, and some criminal matters involving children. Parties are set by law, not by a website visitor. |
| “Free lawyer” | Legal Aid NSW (and community legal centres). Help is not automatic; they apply their own tests. LawAccess NSW 1300 888 529. Youth Hotline 1800 10 18 10 if you are under 18 and police are involved. |
| “Mental health for young people” | headspace, Kids Helpline, a GP, or a public child and adolescent mental health service. This site is not a therapy service. |
DCJ child protection
DCJ is the NSW government department that handles many child-protection reports and care arrangements. An authorised carer is authorised through that system (or an agency DCJ uses), not by reading The Fulcrum.
Using this page does not notify DCJ.
NDIS, NDIA, ART
If a person is an NDIS participant, the NDIA makes funding decisions. If a review is available, it follows NDIS and ART rules. This site cannot lodge an ART application for you and cannot be your NDIS nominee.
Children’s Court
The Children’s Court is a real court. It has its own parties, lawyers, and procedures. See Courts for an honest path — including what this site cannot do.
Legal Aid NSW
Legal Aid is the usual public door for people who cannot pay a private solicitor. Bring the problem to them, not to the owner of this book. legalaid.nsw.gov.au
If you have left care (NSW)
Leaving a program such as Therapeutic Supported Independent Living does not end care-leaver status. Official doors, not this website:

A will-first order: recorded wishes, records, Victims Support, and ILA/TILA with a named worker, then civil ID and address updates. The inverted order (7-day Service NSW first) is documented in the compiled evaluation, not as a form on this page.
Victims Support (including a report from when you were a child)
NSW Victims Support can include counselling, financial assistance, and a recognition payment. A report made when you were a minor can still matter. This site does not take the report and does not need to see it.

Time limits as published by NSW (confirm on the live page): counselling has no time limit. For a recognition payment after childhood harm: sexual assault — any time; domestic violence or child abuse — within 10 years of turning 18; other violent crime — within 2 years of turning 18. Under 18, the form asks for a parent or guardian’s ID. That is one reason wishes and a victim application should not wait on an ID lock that runs through the same household.
Generational trauma is a pattern in the public data (maltreatment, out-of-home care, leaving-care cliff). It is not a diagnosis from this page, and it is not a case file we store.
