You are allowed to get help. This page will not call DCJ on you for reading it.
Who this is for
In Australian law, people aged 0–17 are children. People aged 18–24 are adults, even if they still need support. This portal is written so a scared 16-year-old can follow it, and so a carer can too.
You do not have to know the “right” words. You do not have to prove you are in enough trouble. Wanting help is enough to look at these pages.

You can ask for help. Using this site does not open a DCJ file. Nobody here is watching this page to report you.

- Call Kids Helpline or Lifeline together
- If you already are an authorised carer, that status comes through DCJ — not from this page
- A solicitor acts only if someone with standing instructs them
