Terms of use

Reading licence, AI tutor limits, and what this book is not.

Licence to read

You may access and read this site for personal, educational, and non-commercial study. You may quote short passages with attribution to Malachai Grant and The Fulcrum under ordinary fair dealing / fair use norms. You may not republish the full text, scrape the site for model training at scale without permission, or present the outline shell as a finished certified academic textbook.

All rights in the manuscript, outline, names, and distinctive framing remain with Malachai Grant unless a separate written licence says otherwise.

Outline / manuscript status

Parts of this site are an outline shell; other chapters carry draft prose. Content may change. “Manuscript in progress” notices are intentional.

AI / outline tutor disclaimer

The Talk to the book feature is an outline tutor shell. It helps you navigate themes, structure, and published synopsis language. It is not the completed manuscript speaking as oracle, not a live substitute for reading the chapters, and not a professional advisory service.

See also AI disclosure.

No medical, clinical, or therapy claims

This book and site do not provide medical, psychiatric, psychological, or therapeutic advice. Nothing here diagnoses, treats, or replaces care from qualified clinicians. If you are in distress, contact local emergency services or appropriate crisis support in your area.

Part V — trauma as tilt

Part V (“The Path”) frames difficult experience at a high level as structural “tilt” — imbalance on the scale — not as clinical case history, trauma theatre, or invitation to re-enactment. Public pages deliberately avoid detailed biographical wound inventories. Do not treat Part V as therapy, coaching, or a recovery protocol.

Acceptable use

Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by Australian consumer law, no warranties are made that the outline, theorems, or tutor replies are complete, error-free, or fit for a particular professional purpose. Non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected.

Limitation of liability

Subject to non-excludable law, Malachai Grant is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this free public reading shell or optional AI features. Cap any remaining liability at AUD 0 for unpaid access, or the amount you paid specifically for site access in the prior 12 months (if any).

Purchases & unlocks

Optional paid access and print for The Fulcrum is sold through Stripe (Checkout or Payment Links):

Cover, contents, about, front matter, and chapters 1–2 remain free. Client-side daily limits may cap how many episode credits you can spend per Australia/Sydney calendar day (defaults in site config); whole e-book, physical book, and Part 2 purchases are not counted against those episode spend caps.

Credits and unlock flags for this scaffolding are stored in your browser localStorage on this device after Checkout verification (or a one-shot TEST Payment Link return grant). They are a licence to read the unlocked episode text (or Part 2 collection materials) on this site for personal use — not a transfer of copyright, not a transferable voucher, and not a guarantee of perpetual online hosting. Clearing site data removes local unlocks. Refunds, chargebacks, and consumer guarantees are handled under applicable Australian Consumer Law and Stripe’s processes; contact legal@malachai.com (placeholder) for unlock support.

Card payments are processed by Stripe; this static site does not receive or store full card numbers or Stripe secret keys. See Privacy.

Youth help portal

The informational Youth help (0–24) pages are a static public noticeboard: rights language, official crisis numbers, and a map of real Australian agencies. They are not a case, not a clinic, and not a guardianship service. The full terms for those pages are in Youth help portal — terms.
