AI disclosure

How machine assistance appears on this site — plainly stated.

Outline tutor (Talk)

Talk to the book is labelled Outline tutor (shell). It uses a client-side knowledge pack derived from the public outline / synopsis language. Replies help you explore structure and themes. They are not:

Prefer reading the chapter pages. Use Talk as a map, not a substitute for the text.

Optional voice (TTS)

Listen / Speak may use:

  1. Browser Web Speech API — on-device / browser voices; no xAI key.
  2. xAI Grok TTS — via same-origin /api/tts (Cloudflare Worker or local proxy) so the API key stays server-side; or, for local preview only, a key you store yourself in localStorage.

Voice IDs and pronunciation maps live in js/fulcrum-tts.js. Persona names (Socrates, professors) are literary frames, not claims that those persons endorse the book.

Authoring

The book is authored by Malachai Grant. Assistive tools may be used in drafting and site engineering; the public legal and security posture still treats the published site as his publication. AI-generated tutor replies are disclosed as such via the shell badge and this page.

Part V care

Automated replies must not invent trauma detail. Public Path language stays at tilt / rooms that would not hold. See Terms.
